Maybe this has been covered but I couldn't find anything. I want all my LC+ locomotives and my rolling stock to be scale, matching the Lionel PS-1 boxcars in size. I have found that the GP7 and the NW2 look scale while the RS3 and the steam engines seem to look more traditional. The new GP20 is listed as "scale", and the new GP38 is listed as "traditional. However I saw the two sitting next to each other at a show and the GP38 looked bigger than the GP20. I expected it to be the other way around. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? Thanks in advance.

The RS-3 LC+ is right on to my measuring. It is very close to scale, perhaps a touch large. The overall length is stated is coupler to coupler is most engineering drawings. The height stated is from the railhead. Other dimensions are called out as needed.

This not the one in the RTR catalog or the sets. That would likely be traditional or non-scale.

I only have the NYC RS-3 in LC+. Love that engine sound.
