I have no experience with recent Lionel 19 inch passenger cars with Kinematic Couplers. I was wondering if anyone knew why Lionel states the minimum radius is O-54? I have noticed that K-Line and MTH 18 inch cars run just fine on 0-42. In both cases they use non-scale steps to allow for better coupler movement. I have GGD 16 inch cars that would not negotiate O-42 unless I modified the steps, then, they were fine. I also have Weaver 21 inch Pullman-Bradley coaches that look like they may have couplers similar to Lionel's Kinematic couplers and they do negotiate O-42!
