I have several of them, previously used on my large all-train Christmas tree.  In recent years I've gone with smaller trees, so tend to "rotate" the ornaments used from year to year.  My tin Hallmark ornaments are displayed year-round though, on a metal armature Christmas tree.

The LRRC Santa Fe ornament looks good. I can see us adding that to the tree.

Our Christmas tree has evolved over the last few years in to a train theme tree!

It all started innocently enough with a couple of the Hallmark Lionel ornaments

I managed to add a set of Lionel tree lights two years ago and from there the monster has grown.

It is quiet unusual here in the UK and we always get comments from friends when they visit over Christmas.

hmmm choo choo hard hat....not going to get some job site ribbing for that one

I just about get away with my hard hat which looks like it has bullet holes. Made in the USA of course.

I'm not sure if I'll be getting any of the Lionel Christmas ornaments.

I have quite a few Hallmark ornaments, and I'm trying to reduce my collecting, so I'm leaning towards not adding any new ornament collections.

I do agree with Mike W. about the brass ornaments. Some brass ornaments are pretty cheap looking. The Lionel ornaments look to be well made. If I do purchase any, I like the locomotive collection ornament (Hudson on one side, Lionel logo on the other) and the LRRC Santa Fe F3. The two-sided ornament is a nice touch. Most brass ornaments are decorative on only one side.

If I only get those 2 ornaments, then I have perhaps the 2 most iconic Lionel locomotives, the Hudson and the Santa Fe F3, but there is the temptation to continue purchasing more ornaments in future years.
