Bottom-line Up Front: THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL POST - This is an idea for the creation of new patriotic American engine

I think many of us have seen the new Lionel "President Joseph Biden Jr" loco that is available for preorder. I personally try to avoid politics with my model trains but I know that many model train manufactures have hopped on the political bandwagon. We have had a Trump loco from Lionel and now we have a Biden loco (both sides of the aisle are now appeased). Remember, no matter what side of the aisle we are on, we are all Americans!

The new paint scheme is sublime so I propose a new idea for Lionel - The same paint scheme with a few alterations:

Engine #1776 "United States of America" SD-70Ace:

Custom Lionel

- The Cab Number:         1776 (Date the Declaration of Independence was signed)
- Nose of the Engine:      Replace "Biden" with "America"
- Side of Engine:              Replace "Joseph Biden Jr. " with "United States of America" and remove the presidential seals
- Custom Audio:              Replace "Hail to the Chief" with "The Stars and Stripes Forever" (Link to song for those who are unfamiliar)
- American Buntings:      Ensure they are the same buntings from the LCCA "VisionLine Southern Pacific GS-3 #4426" so they can be removable

So, Lionel, any chance of getting a run of these?
Does anyone else like my idea of this American Loco?

Please let me know your thoughts!

I finally had time to open up my large package from METCA and I was not disappointed!

The engine looks amazing and the sounds are spectacular. It came with patriotic buntings that can be added/removed but I have not taken them out of the packaging yet.  The only thing that took me some time to wrap my head around was getting the back section off to get at the run/program switch (my first Legacy SD70ACe), other than that, no complaints. I will post a video of her running in the near future!

I want to thank Stu and METCA for giving me the opportunity to own this very cool locomotive
