Pretty boring catalog.

There's a set of British passenger cars in the European section with new tooling.

A NYC express car I've never seen before.  Other than that I don't see new tooling from anyone these days.

Quite a disappointing catalog if you ask me. Not only were there re runs, but there were re runs from literally last year (SD40-2). No 44 Tonners, which is certain to be a big hit, so that's a miss for MTH. There was a RK 611 which has been in the past few catalogs back to back Although, I am happy about separate A and B units for sale and I plan to order an SD60E. Just my 2 cents...

The new catalog has a lot of reruns, but that is OK, especially if one of the is an Item you've been longing for. As to the European models, I have no interest, but if MTH finds a market for them and can make a profit, that keeps a them healthy. That serves the whole hobby.

There are a few thing I like and may purchase. The FM H-100-44 and the EMD demonstrator FTs. I like the early Lackawanna freight scheme F3s. I wish they were Premiers as I don't care for the Post War like units and their lack of details. I also like the Santa Fe FTs in the early freight colors. I think the red striping makes a hansom unit.

This was a near miss for my filed flight plan on the loco side.

The BN SD-40-2 needed to be in every day cascade green and white paint scheme for me to purchase. This hasn't happened at MTH since the advent of the internet age . Okay, well as least since the addition of PS2. Help a brother out!

The Russian Decapod in Frisco 1630 paint, a sure huge hit seeing as it runs all summer long just outside Chicago at the Illinois Railway Museum for thousands of visitors annually seems like a missed opportunity.

No CTA offerings!!! Were they that poor of a sale in the past? The NYC subway sets come every year so there must be interest in subways for o operators.

On the freight car side I may opt for the Wonder Bread hopper to recreate the Wonder Bread location just off LaGrange Road and I-55 outside Chicago. Through in the sign from our friends at Miller Engineering and a nice building front from Korber Models and I'm all set!!!

The NS safety train and 611 excursion sets are very cool items! I may get just the Wabash dome car to use to create my own excursion off the end of my Amtrak trains. Nice work on these two sets MTH!!

I'm also looking forward to seeing the guys who will recreate the roundhouse scene from the NS gathering a while back with the F unit offerings. This will look really cool on the larger layouts!! I look forward to seeing many photos on here in the future!

Other than that, yes a lot of repeats and a relative sleeper. Not much in the way of "I have to have it".
