Hello Everyone!

I am excited to announce my latest project in the world of O gauge. This month the Notch 6 podcast debuted with Carl Swanson editor of Classic Toy Trains as our first guest (Don't worry I will get to the OGRR staff soon enough). This project is a labor of love for me, and each month will feature O gauge news, events, and an interview with someone from the industry (I have Roger Farkash lined up for the March episode). So that all being said here is the link to the FREE podcast through the Apple store. Be sure to subscribe and leave feedback. Also if you have a club event or news story that you would like on the upcoming show, shoot me an email at notchsix@gmail.com

The show also has a Facebook page.

Here is the link to the show:

Click on episode one and have a listen. I look forward to your feedback.

Thanks!

Derek

Derek,

Thank you for taking the iniative to  make this first O-gage podcast.  The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) is always looking for ways to increase membership value and to improve our club.  We have great print publications (Award Winning The Lion Roars, Junior Member Publication, The Lion Cub and Interchange Track), to go along with the updates to our website with improved video capabilities.  We are providing our members with exclusive LCCA video productions as well as more up to date communication with our members thru the social media such as our Facebook accounts for regular members and another site for our Junior Members.  We think it is important to evolve and reach out to attract new members to our club as well as the hobby.

I believe this podcast medium opens up another communication channel to our fellow members and hobbyist.   By advertising on this podcast and with TM Books &Video "I Love Toy Trains" cable TV program on RFD,  the LCCA is supporting the O-gage hobby in an effort to help it grow and reach out to attract new people.    Now people have the option to listen to this O-gage podcast at their leisure whether it be multitasking while commuting to and from work, whie exercising or just listening like listening to a book on tape.   I am very proud to be part of this first podcast.  I am thankful for this innovative project and I look forward to its continued success.  Thank you Derek!

Derek,  have you had many  listeners yet?  For those of you who have not heard this first O-gage podcast, check it out.   Ths can be be another source of information for you about what is going on in the O-gage hobby.

We hope people are making their plans to attend this  March 22-23 LCCA/Lionel Red Carpet Event in Concord NC.  See  you there!

AL K.

Al- The show has picked up quite a few downloads since I announced the show here on the OGRR forum (Thanks everyone!)

Allan- I've always wondered if some of the folks you mentioned especially Cowen ever gave radio interviews back in the 40's and 50's. I hope that having these archived will help provide an oral history down the road.

AG- Glad you're enjoying the show. It's neat for me to hear that people are listening while working on their layouts
