L.I.TRAINOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

A while back I was munching on some Grapes and afterwards I looked at the stems and thought that would make a nice tree armature. Well I let it dry out for some time and today I finally got around to painting it brown then flocking it. The last two pictures shows it in its new home on my layout.

Great idea Steve and you're into recycling too. Another use would be to find two lower lateral branches and string them along a wire and make grape vines (no pun intended). You could Glue the seeds into bunches for the grapes (assuming of course they're not seedless).

I too have used dried grape stems as tree armatures. After painting the dried stems I used them as is as dead trees.

I've also added some fluffed out poly foam befor painting and adding ground foam.

They do make good dead trees.
