WOW, WE are just hours away from the soft opening of the new Lionel Store opening at the OpryMills Mall, next to The Grand Ole Opry….If you live near this store, please come in and meet many fellows that Love Toy Trains, and NASCAR Automobiles. It’s going to be a lot of fun…. Several of us will be wearing our LCCA badges… Welcome to Nashville, Lionel!!!!!!!
See you at 10 am!
I had a great time at the new store and was the first customer there. Got my picture made with Howard Hitchcock. Then went to see a great layout in Franklin. Toy train days are always good.
Ok, the new Lionel Store in Music City USA, Nashville, is open for business and the store is full of beautiful trains. Many of my friends visited the store, met the CEO of Lionel, Howard Hitchcock and members of the Lionel Team. The store carries something for everyone, young and old alike. Thank you Lionel….

I see my coworker Dave manning the register.
Did they mention when they planned to have the grand opening?
They said it would probably be sometime in October, in time for Christmas shopping.
I'd like to make that.
The soft opening was a huge success and well attended. Several train collectors were present and had a great time meeting and greeting the Lionel Corporate staff that were really great a knew about Legacy and the electronics that were out and coming out in the near future. Many of us are collectors and operators of Lionel equipment. Great to have them open the store in Music City, U.S.A. Many of us gathered at the Food Court area after touring the Lionel Facility. We then drove to Dr. Jack's home and viewed his elaborate layout and ran trains including my 576 that was custom built by Pat Norcross. The real 576 is being built and should be ready to make runs at the end of 2024 I understand. They are often referred to as "Yellow Stripes" because of the paint scheme. A great day was had by all. Come and visit Music City Lionel Store .
@1938Robert , Bob, that’s a great description of the day, and I agree it’s nice to have a Lionel crew that will be able to introduce folks to the Lionel command systems coming out in the future, (Cab 3 App) and hopefully how to connect all the new Electronics up to our layouts to control blocks, switches, accessories…. I-Pads, I-Phones, computers. I am so glad that Lionel is changing with the technology keeping this, the most fun hobby in the world, a fun way to operate our trains. By the way, your #576 is simply a beautiful locomotive. I also agree, getting to see Dr. Jack Fishers layout was Icing on the Cake. The pictures are of Dr. Jacks layout, a really uniquely beautiful model railroad. Happy Railroading Everyone
