Just got back from there. Was very crowded at noon when I arrived with no room to park in their lot. Bought two items I'd wanted for a while at their normal price plus one impulse item I couldn't resist at 67% off.

Reps were all there from Atlas, Bachmann, Lionel, but disappointingly nobody from MTH. As of 2:30 when I left, Mike Wolf was still a no show with no one from Nicholas Smith  receiving a phone call of explanation. No one knew where he was, MIA. Don't know whether that's par for Mike or not but I'd gone there also to ask him a few questions. Oh, well, not first nor last time I'll likely be disappointed regarding this hobby. Otherwise a good time and good sale!!!

Did they have much in G scale out?

I really wanted to go there!

I saw prob. 30 pieces or so of rolling stock (mostly Bachman or LGB reefers, boxcars, a couple of tank cars, and a few heavyweight style passenger cars) outside in the tent. There were probably more inside along with everything else. I don't collect G myself, but they seemed priced to move to me. Some were only 25 bucks each.

There were a few engines in the tent, too.

Nicholas Smith is a fantastic store, and I've had the privilege of seeing the storage area, so I can only imagine what kind of items might be available.  If I lived within 150 miles, I'd be there.  I'm jealous of those of you who live close enough to be able to go to the tent sale.  Take home some bargains for me, will ya?

Well, ok---I'm heading back! Yesterday was primarily to shop for my daughter's birthday (for those of you who don't know, they have an outstanding toy store downstairs) and there were great sale prices on dolls (they have a special room just for dolls alone), Playmobile, etc. Today it's just trains!
