I have a lionel 6-83382 legacy NW2 with No backup light or cab light. All other functions operate as expected. I have performed a reset countless times. I need help with the problem. The front headlight operates as expected

Well, the backup light on a diesel with the RCMC would only be affected by turning off the lights with AUX2 I would imagine. It sounds like there's a wiring or board problem. I suppose it's possible those two LED's are defective, no way of knowing without looking into it.

Have you tried the Aux2 button?

AUX2 would turn out the front headlight as well. Since he states that's operating normally, it's probably not the issue.

what is the voltage of the cab light and backup light ac or dc so i can test them.?

if they test ok my problem is the board.

They're white LED's, so they're 3V operating voltage. All the lights on the RCMC are LED.
