No reverse with Legacy

just push down, DO NOT pull back.  pull back is the brake.

When you press down (As in pushing down on a button.), does it 'click' as you press it?

Sounds like a stuck button perhaps?

If you spin the red know as it slows down then one is stops and you keep spinning it should reverse (see manual under Velocity Throttle >Velocity Throttle Direction Control (V.T.D.C.))

Hmmm. If it doesn't 'click' (More of a feeling than any actual sound.), then it may be a stuck button. You could try holding it on edge and tapping the case, just in case some small piece of debris has become lodged under the button.  If all else fails, and the other suggestions mentioned above don't solve the problem, then I guess you'll have to send it back to the mothership for repair. Lionel have exceptional customer service, so it shouldn't be away for too long.  One last thought, are your batteries fully charged? Sometimes a weak set of batteries can give erratic performance, but I'm clutching at straws here.
