I have a Rev G TIU with 3 issues.

1. Variable 1 does not output full voltage. I set the voltage on the Z4K to 20v indicated, and also measured it with a meter. The meter also read 20v. I dialed up the voltage on the remote to 22v and measured the voltage on the output side of Variable 1 on the TIU. I found 8v. This agrees with what I was seeing when I tried to run an engine. The engine moved slowly and acted like it had no umph.

2. Variable 2 has no voltage output at all. I can dial the remote up to 22v, and have the Z4K at 20v, and get nothing on the output side of variable 2.

BTW, after I experienced the above behaviors, I deleted both tracks from the remote and then reentered them. There was no change in the results.

3. The AIU attached to this TIU is acting weird. I have several switch pairs programed in, and 9 accessories. The switches either do not throw, or are now mis-assigned. The accessories do not all work either.

What do I do about the voltage issues? Is this a repair I can do? I've soldered electronic components before. How do I tell if the AIU is still OK, or if the problem is in the TIU?

I have to agree with Barry.  I have 2 original issue Rev G's, that both still work fine after the factory repair when they were a few months old, but if one failed now, I'd google the internet for the lowest price I could get on a Rev L. I have no doubt that GGG could fix it at a reasonable price, but especially if it never got the original fix, it may not be worth the expense

My original issue remote, now running 5.0 software, still works fine.
