Anyone see the episode from York PA with a guy named John selling bicycle and motorcycle parts? Part of the show took place in his train room and he looked familiar, but I have no last name. No, they didn't feature the train layout, just showed parts of it as they entered the room and while they were looking at a propeller from a Lindberg plane. Just curious about who he is.

I do not know the gentleman personally, however a friend of mine knows him and told me a bit about him.

Evidently the gentleman's grandfather started a bicycle shop in York in the early 1900's. I believe he also sold Harley Davidson motorcycles at some point. The business passed through another family member or two after the grandfather died. Eventually, no one in the family wanted it so this gentleman ended up with tons of bicycle and motorcycle parts.

At some point his interest turned to trains.

It sounded to me like the gentleman is a bit eccentric. That's about all I know. I did not see the episode personally.

I also noticed the NS hat right off and I'm not even a train guy. I loved the Corvette too, but I thought it sounded a little bad when he first started it up. If it was cold, he shouldn't have revved it like that either. He did price one item for $2,000 and Mike said it was worth $2,500. Mike didn't seem bothered by any of the prices, butt hen I don't know how choreographed the show is.
