Hey! I wanna play, too. I just got permission to....er......uh....I made a command decision to attend!

I can't wait to watch Jimmy Sutter confuse the waitress/waiter.

Rick....please make me a name tag. My name is Tom Shirey....that's spelled...capital T-o-m  capital S-h-i-r-e-y  thank you!

I will bring one of my "creations" to run.

Thanks to Patrick H and Norm for their efforts. Thanks to Rick for the name tags.

see yinz on Saturday.....Tom in PGH

OK, THIS MORNING I STOPPED IN AT EAT'N PARK TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER ABOUT OUR SATURDAY PLANS.  OF COURSE THIS PERSON WAS NOT THE MANAGER THAT I SPOKE WITH ON MONDAY,BUT EVERYTHING IS A GO !   I WILL BE THERE EARLIER ON SATURDAY TO PUT IN OUR NAME FOR OUR SPOT IN THE ROOM.  IT SHOULD BE VACATED BY 10AM OR SHORTLY THEREAFTER.  THERE IS SEATING FOR UP TO 32 PEOPLE.

WE'LL SEE ALL OF YINZ ON SATURDAY,RAIN OR SHINE.

NORM

No prob regarding the seating gents. Max and I may be a little late to E&P anyway.

I may just grab some coffee while there.

Looking forward to it.

I do have a question however - I've never run our stuff on anyone else's layout. It's a legacy engine. Is it best that I bring my Legacy remote? And if so, will it communicate with Patrick's existing Legacy base?

Thanks,

Mike

If you bring your remote, you just have to search for Patrick's base when you turn it on (it will prompt you to search if it doesn't find a base on the channel you have it currently set on).

I take my remote over there every time I go to play trains.

Andy

Won't be long till our breakfast and Train Day at Patrick's will be here. I know Patrick has been busy this week doing some things to his layout. I ran trains there Wed. and just left my engines there. I will have something special for Show and Tell.  Hope someone takes a lot of pictures for the Forum so others can see how our Special Day was.

How was the show; sorry I missed it.

Was MTH and Accucraft there; any new engines from either?  MTH has really slowed down as far as G Scale is concerned.

See you tomorrow; thank you.

MEET AT EAT'N PARK in Murrysville for breakfast on Saturday, March 23, at 10 AM. I'm in if there is room for one more?  I'll bring a TMCC converted, Rich Yoder, GE 44 tonner if that's O.K. ??  Does Patrick's layout have a TMCC Command base??  If so I'll bring a couple of Cab-1 controllers.

Saturday weather appears to be clearing, still cold, possible temps in the 40's.  As good as it get's in W PA.  Great day for a road trip.

A "BIG" thank you to Norm for taking the time to arrange our breakfast at the Eat N' Park restaurant in Murrysville. Another "BIG" thank you to Pat for having all of us over to his home to see his fabulous layout. It was especially nice to see so many familiar faces. Brought back a lot of good memories. Memories that I will always have. Thanks again to each and everyone of you for the wonderful time I had today.

Well, breakfast at Tiffany's (I mean Eat-N-Park) is over.

Thanks to everyone that came.  I think all had a great time.  I know I did.  I made a lot of new friends and train buddies today.

OGR you should be proud of the people on your site.  Great guys!!!!!  Sorry, ladies, we didn't have any ladies present except for Patrick's wife.  She is great too.

Patrick, here's a big THANK YOU for having me to your beautiful home and fantastic layout.  THANK YOU for the lunch, also.

Hope we can do this again someday soon, Rick

What a GREAT TIME! Thank you to Norm for starting this whole thing off! Thanks to Rick for the name tags! Thanks to Patrick for opening his house and layout to us. Oh yeah...... Thanks for lunch too Pat!

A good time with good people. It was good to see some familiar people, and also meet some new ones. A large variety of different trains running. All out good time!

We should definitely try to do this again.

Sorry my other South Hills friends missed out on this .

Oh well....... Just less 'Riff Raff"   LOL!

Anyway, hope to do it again. I didn't take many, but here are a few pics

Lets see...

Rick,

Thank you for the E-Unit

Doc,
Thanks for everything

Dave,

Thank you for starting the "breakfast mess" as you stated in one of your posts.

Norm,
Thank you for organizing this.

Patrick,

HUGE thank you to you and your wife for the wonderful hospitality today.  You have a great layout and I enjoyed being able to run a couple of my trains and watch others with theirs.

I think I spoke with Louis the most (t was great getting to know you), but to everybody that was there, it was very nice meeting you all and I hope to do it again sometime.

Thanks,
Mike

What a great way to spend a Saturday! Thanks to Norm, Dave, and Rick for organizing.....and a big THANK YOU to Patrick H. for his generous hospitality. Patrick's layout is outstanding. The size, scope and attention to detail are just hard to describe. Perhaps the one area of modelling that really made an impression on me, was.....water. Patrick has mastered the color, depth, and texture of his water scenes. If any of yinz get the chance.....visit this layout!

This is worthy of several articles by our favorite train publication.....OGR....for the uninformed. Allan Miller.....take my word on this ......it is awesome.

Patrick has a beautiful home, as well. Again, thanks to the organizers, and also to Patrick H.     Tom
