Wow that is green
Would the IT Unit qualify for Operation Life Saver duty?
But, really, It is 'GREEN' and Awesome! Great photo Dennis! While not a fan, even the PC unit looks good!
I really don't think we can say enough "thanks" to the NS for their efforts!
Get the Northeast Rail units MU'd for "classic" pre-ConRail photos. And the N&W mergers, and the Southern mergers. Those would be very cool photos!

You have to remember that "it's NOT EASY being Green!"
The Penn Central heritage unit looks much better than actual Penn Central. For example, a Penn Central GG1. Did the actual Virginian units have a blue stripe or a black stripe? Because I've seen blue stripes on vintage Lionel Trainmasters in Virginian paint.
Dennis,
That shot is perfect!
prrhorsecurve,
Being 'Green' may not be easy, but this unit is a 'complete package'! Color and Environmentally!

Lionel had it WRONG. As I understand and always heard the FM shells were molded in blue plastic and Lionel got cheap and did not paint them. The Virginian used BLACK paint. The blue cabooses, boxcars, etc. were pure imagination. VGN cabeese are red, hopper cars are black, boxcars are boxcar red. Tyco also got the silver hopper wrong as it did not exist. The first VGN FM's from Lionel were black.
