I attended the O Scale convention a few yrs ago when it was held at Towson State University in Baltimore.  Although there wasn't much 3 rail stuff there was quite a bit of laser cut kits and scenery supplies which put a nice dent in my wallet.  I really enjoyed the workshops  and traction section.  I felt that my admission fee was well spent.

LocoLawyer and I went yesterday and had a good time. Spoke to some nice people and saw some neat stuff. We spent the morning.

We did NOT go to any of the seminars. It looked like they had some pretty neat ones. I think the seminars could easily have made it a very worthwhile show if you're interested in what they were covering. And it wasn't just one at a time. They had 4 concurrent seminars. So, it would have clearly been worthwhile if it hit your interest and you allocated the time.

Don't forget the entrance fee includes the Layout tours on Sunday.  IF you don't go on a tour it's on you.

3 rail stuff to be found were Forum Sponsor Sean Marchev -Dorothy's Whistle Stop for MTH....

Norm's O scale had some 3 rail.

Bob Lavezzi of All About Trains also had some 3 rail Atlas O

among other dealers that had 3 rail as well!

And Don't forget the details galore!

Here is What I got!

It was worth the trip.  I was able to see many things that I previously unable to view in person.  Those Key MoPac E units were incredible, also the headlight on Seaboard engine was something to see.  Of course everything about those engines was special.

That is far from all, the Golden Gate painted streamlined sets that Public Delivery track had on display were spectacular.

There was enough 3 rail, building kits, etc to make it all worthwhile.

Unfortunately I had to get back so that I could go see Saint Louis Cardinal greats Schoendienst, Herzog and La Russa honored in Cooperstown today.
