My Daughter is getting married to a young man from Mesa next weekend.  They've bought their new home there.. and so I hope to visit them soon!   I was just wondering if there is anything to see in Mesa O scaleish and are there any good hobby stores that sell O scale.             Thanks Stephen

Hello Stephen, Not a great amount of 2-rail guys around Az. I am up north in Dewey and you are more than welcome to take a side trip. Depending on when you are coming, we put on a good swap meet in Prescott in Aug. on the 18th, complete with several home tours. Also there is a meet in Phoenix on July 28th, both are general swap meets, so you never know what might show up. I found some nice 2-rail stuff last year in Phoenix. TCA has a large group in Az. and the 3-rail display at McCormick RR park in Scottsdale is progressing nicely. Have a fun trip. Mike Nelson

Thanks  every one I hope to be able to visit my daughter  either toward the end of the year or early next year and its good to know in advance whats out there........ Peter I tried to e mail you and it came back too.  Not sure whats happening there!!  Ill try again in the morning.

One O guage store in Phx. area. , Arizona Train depot. Steve Palmer owner. 755 E McKellips  Mesa az.( lucky you , Mesa)  480-833-9486. I have been to Coronado Models, the brothers own and operate it but not much ot see. I believe they are into narrow guage O.Might be able to find them on net.

The Mccormic rail park Indian bend rd. and Scottsdale rd. Nice place to hang for picnic on an operating day(google map as you might be able to see live steam layout. ). Winter the best for this and lucky you as it is your summer. Steve sometimes I will find him at the tracks on the UP mainline running from Gila Bend to Maricopa. The only knoll to sit on in 50 miles either direction. There is a nice sweeping rising curve and he will have his radio on to UP's frequency to pick up where the trains are and how many wheel sets they have. Fun day. I guess you can call Steve when you are here andfind out if he is going to visit the tracks.

Any questions e mail, psn0ball@aol.com    It is a zero not an Oh.
