ocean county train stores

There is a train store right in downtown Pt Pleasant on Arnold Ave. Nice enough store with display but the person who was there over THanksgiving was doing a bit of a grouch impersonation so I didn't stay long. However I wouldn't let that stop you from checking them out.

I'm sure others will chime in to help.

Any stores around anymore that deal in Post War Stuff??

"East Coast Train Parts" runs two shows in Ocean county.  One in Brick, the other in Toms River.  Check their web page for schedules.  There usually is a large selection of post war to peruse at the shows.

Thanks Joe... I long for those Sunday mornings at the Train Station in Absecon where I would spend half of the day drinking coffee and looking over the latest an the greatest from Lionel and all the new Post War stuff that came in during the week. I would spend every Sunday there and what I wouldn't do to bring back those days.. There were 3 "Train stores" within a 15 minute drive.. I can't believe they are all gone and there aren't any new ones to replace them.. woe is me....

A great store in Wildwood on Pacific ave, Holly Beach Train Shop. An amazing amount of trains. The owner is a terrific guy. Fred

Larry Lillo at Holly Beach in Wildwood are the best. Great selection of MTH and Lionel.

   The Absecon train store was great would stop there when working in Atlantic City many years ago . Didn't Mike Schmidt of the Phillies go there for his g scale layout stuff ?

There is Hobbymasters in Red Bank.  While they don't have much postwar stuff, their repairman Steve is top notch - he's been my go to guy for all repairs I can't do myself for over 15 years.  Really nice guy. There's also the train cellar in Oakhurst on 35

There's also The Model Train Store of NJ in Middletown NJ  I've never been in but have bought from Henry online, ebay and mail order.
