I'm using IE 10, but this site wants me to "update" to IE 9. Any ideas why?

Wish I knew. I have 8 on my laptop, and the forum doesn't work. I have to use chrome to access it. The desktop has no problem with 8, the forum works fine.

"Updating" to Internet Exploder anything is not an update.
Get Firefox.

Probably because it works, as does Safari, and not just with this forum but with everything else.

Not entirely accurate - I've actually had Firefox crash more than IE on several sites.
IE 8 and Firefox both work fine here, and I have Safari as well - they all have their idiosyncrasies and peculiarities.

Yes, that's true, but you'll see far more glitches reported with IE users than any other browser. And, yes, I know it is widely used and likely to have more problems reported, but the fact remains that on a site-by-site basis when problems are reported, I have never seen the tech gurus recommend that someone switch TO IE.
