OK, how can three companies now make a 44 ton Diesel and no one make a steeple cab?

Thanks CP, as you know they just came out with the GE box cab set again. Might be a good time. I can't even think how many railroads used these little guys. I guess it's asking too much for a Quill. 

Kinda looks like the WbB and MTH were in development at the same time.....or one of them may have dropped the project.  Just bad timing. LOTS of other locos on a want list for sure.

Well Don I'm asking too. I would definitely be in for a Milwaukee Quill.  I also like to see a Milwaukee 2-6-6-2 Mallet. I really doesn't matter which one comes first though.

Get an MTH one.  Find an old william EF-4 New Haven for cheap (or similar).   Take off its pantograph and (somehow) affix to the top of the MTH model.    (buy 2, experiment -- use the best result, sell the not so good one on ebay).   Then go to the MTH website and find some other electric train's sounds that you like -- and download its protosound file to the 44 tonner you've modified...   there, you sort of have it!

Normally I wouldn't recommend such craziness unless I've first done it myself -- but you seem particularly invested in the idea,  so just trying to help...
