Operating Log Loader with MTH App

The app has 3 buttons for each accessory: ON, OFF and ACT(ivate).

Thanks Barry,  I appreciate the economy of words but perhaps a bit of color regarding the wiring would be helpful.  There are two wires that go from the switch to the transformer and two wires that go from the switch to the to the log loader terminals.  Based on page 79 of the very fine DCS Companion book I see that a hot wire from the transformer goes to one of the accessory terminals and then from the other accessory terminal to the AIU .  The "IN" on the AIU receives the Common from the transformer.  So what is the wiring configuration where a switch is involved?

I’m on an airplane at present, however, connect the two wires intended for the transformer, to the transformer.

Then, connect the other two wires, one each, to an AIU ACC port’s terminals “1” and “IN”.

Enter the accessory into the app and operate using the ON and OFF buttons.

Thanks Barry but it seems like something is missing.  If I connect the "other two wires, one each, to an AIU ACC port's terminals "1" and "IN"", then no wires would be going to the terminals on the log loader itself.  Have a safe flight!

The wires go to the AIU instead of the switch.

Thanks Barry but all the wires emanate from the switch so how's this: I run one wire from the Log Loader terminal to AIU 1 and another wire from the other Log Loader terminal to the hot on the transformer then run a common wire from the transformer to the AIU "IN".  Will that do it?

Please just do as I said, connecting the loader to the transformer and also to the AIU. You can also wire the switch in parallel.

Barry your willingness to be helpful is always appreciated.  

You didn't say which log loader.  The 64 or the 364?  The latter just uses one AIU circuit; the former 2.

OK.  Sorry, I missed "MTH" in the opening post.

I have an ancient #64 on my layout, controlled by DCS, operable from both remote & app.  Uses 2 AIU circuits, one set for momentary for the log drop, and the other on-off for the lift.
