I just went for one of these in the FS forum. I always liked these little steamers based on Lionel's classic model and was very impressed by K-Line's scale rendition. Any discrepancies I should be aware of in regards to scale fidelity and operation? I have already been informed it can be finicky through switches.

PC ! no quirks! I have one of these beauties and she runs fine. My model is conventional, and I got it when K-Line was blowing 'em out for 125.00....I think. You'll like it, I'm sure.
Did you get any of Weaver's new hoppers? Several are decorated for Penn Central....just sayin' ...

What's the trick to attaching a pic to your post without it being compressed horizontally like PC9850's pic???
A far as I know, there is no trick and the compression is mandatory for any photo within the post body. However, if you attach a photo from your computer instead of linking to one online, it can be clicked to view it full size in a separate window.

I have one and have never had a problem going through switches. I use Ross switches. As with all K-line steam engines the smoke is not strong but that's the only drawback I have seen. They are very nice engines, wish I had another. This is a shot of mine working a passenger train in place. Don
My K-line B-6 has been a wonderful performer and problem free. It has TMCC with Cruse Control, and it has been perfecy- no problem with switches. I miss K-line, they were an asset to the O gauge world.
They look good from here. "U" shaped boiler? Motor over the cylinders? Those two things would kill it for me, and I love B6s. I have three Williams and one Lionel.
I still have my K-Line B-6. It has always been a great runner.
This K-line B6 has an EOB drop in. The only issue is that the motor is (IMO) a bit small.

I have 3 of the PRR version. Awesome LASHUP! Anyone who has installed cruise control, please chime in on how hard it is to install,space restrictions, and where you got the stuff to do it with. I also got mine on blowout from justtrains back in the day. I really miss those K-line blowouts. I bought alot of 21 inch cars and e-8's at blowouts and cant bring myself to part with them. Such a HUGE loss to this hobby to lose K-line.
