I am wondering if anyone who knows can tell me approximately what the output voltage to the heater element was from the 1999-2002 era Railsounds 4 TMCC steamers Lionel (and K-Line) produced with plunger /puffer smoke units installed?

If they were all different - then the one I most specifically need to know about is the 6-28084 Dreyfuss Hudson Lionel put out during this period and what it’s plunger heater voltage should be. I know it’s not 18v, that’s for sure lol.

I am looking to repurpose the board smoke heater voltage output for a replacement seuthe unit that can turn on and off via TMCC and am not sure exactly what the constant output is.

Thanks!

I believe all modular radio boards put out half wave 12 volts give or take a few. When you hold down the AUX1 9 button it goes to full wave 12 volts.

Many Suethe units come mounted with their own voltage specific regulator. 6 volts is pretty common. If you have one with a regulator 12v or less you can drive it directly from your radio board.
