BillyC,

good question. Old Oz always seemed to be at home but almost always wearing a tie! I'm not sure if his screen character was ever given a "career". I believe other TV dads always had a defined career: Ward Cleaver went to the office, Steve Douglas (My Three Sons) was an aircraft engineer, Dr Stone (Donna Reed Show) and Jim Anderson (Father Knows Best) was in insurance. Maybe Oz inherited his dough.

Edit- just found this on Wikipedia. Apparently Ozzie's profession was intentionally left vague:

The popular joke about his career was that the only time he left the house was to go buy ice cream. According to his granddaughter, actress Tracy Nelson, Ozzie went to Rutgers to study law and when pressed would tell interviewers that the TV Ozzie was a lawyer.

I searched the web to see if there was a layout plan for this episode. I didn't find one, so I watched the vid a number of times and created one.  Below is what I came up with.  If you see any errors please let me know.  As was common in those days, it is a 5x9 layout.  I created a 6x10 base to have enough room during the design phase and shrunk it to 5x9 below.
