I have a CLW PA1 that needs to have the frame (trucks/motor) re-attached to the body.  This seems to involve two new plates with screw  holes fabricated to replace the old damaged plates.  Is there someone you can recommend that does this kind of work?  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Those flat bolsters look to be made from of a non-conductive material or the trucks will short through the frame.  I would use 1/8" micarta to make new ones.  Later CLW mechanisms have brass bolsters soldered to the frame rails that incorporate  micarta inserts for insulation of the trucks from the frame.

I have a large sheet of 1/8" micarta that I have used for years to make insulating spacer/gussets for 2 rail diesel conversions.  If you can dismantle the mechanism and send me the old bolsters I can use them to make a new set for you to match your drive system.  Or, if you measure the length/width of them, I can cut you two pieces of micarta and mail them to you and you can drill the holes.  The material drills very easily but I would use a drill press for accuracy.  PS:  MIcarta also goes by the trade name "Garolite". McMaster Carr carries it in their inventory by that name.
