I will be putting up the 2nd coat of paint on the walls in the train room today and I have chosen a color from Sherwin Williams called "cloudy day". It is a perfect gray color for a cold winter overcast day that we get here in Michigan.
The issue is that it is too uniform. I want to add some clouds and gradent in the paint making it darker towards the bottom of the layout, and lighter as it goes up the wall. I then want to add some low dark "snow" clouds.
I already have a gallon of darker gray paint from the same series as the "cloudy day". It was 2 shads darker
So any tips on how to paint it? I have very little experience in painting. One nice thing is if I don't like the results I can always paint over and start again.
