Hi,
I have been looking on line for a diagram of an MPC U36C, number 6-8960 and have come up with nothing useful. If anyone has some info or a link they can share, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

There is no diagram for the U36C Troy, ….in the modern era parts & diagrams book, there is a parts list, but noted “As of 1/87 no drawing available”

Pete's diagram covers most of it. For the 6-axle trucks, try searching the Parts Supplement for an SD-18 like the 6-8855. I believe that was Lionel's first use of the 6-axle truck, which they later bolted under the GE-style U36 body to turn the U36B into your U36C. Also, search the Forum for threads about the SD-18. Hope this helps!
I think the first 6 wheel trucks were on the Trainmaster. But it was a special application where one outboard axle used blind wheels so it could handle tight curves.
Thanks to all for your help.
I am in the process of doing a repaint on one of my U boats and thought I was missing a part when I was disassembling it.
I was thinking that there should be a spring on the rear truck bolster pin due to the cup washer being on there. I don't see a spring in the diagram, so it looks like I am not missing any parts.
Does anyone have a good source that is your go to source for Lionel MPC parts? OEM or reproduction is okay.
You can try Jeff Kane at Ttender.com
He has a large selection of Lionel parts
He is very informative and helpful.
