Hello, have not bought anything in some time. I saw this in a 2020 catalogue and not clear if ever produced. Maybe just hard to find?

You'll probably have to keep an eye on the auction sites or check with dealers with older stock. MTH sold the tooling for these to Lionel which bumped the price up by double. I'm not sure Lionel has produced these in Central Pacific either.
Thanks for reply. I like the look of those cars and would be happy with any road name at a reasonable price. What would be the easiest way to find? I did not have luck on the MTH site.
Visit some dealer sites. TrainWorld, Mr Muffin, Nicolas Smith, Train Loft, Train room, Charles Rio, etc

The bad news is, MTH sold the tooling to Lionel and Lionel doubled the price of the cars, they're over $200/ea now! Any old stock of MTH cars will have a higher price now as well, unless the seller isn't paying attention to the market.

That is crazy!
And it's off and running!
Probably going to throw a buck converter and LED light strip in the Lionel boxcar, and I need to pop the engine open and see why the lighting isn't working on it (though I have a new wreck train project engine coming in this week). It'll be getting a quick coat of paint, some decals and an electronics upgrade. Then everything will likely have to go into hiding until after Xmas...
