Awesome stuff.
Malcolm why the one with a much smaller road number (18124)?

A true model of the original.
Beautiful job! Dead on accuracy.
Well what can I say the best ever seen about building cabooses, Owesome .
This Penn Central transfer caboose is being discussed because of Weekend Photo Fun.

Brother Love,
In response to an earlier question, you said:
"Generally the cabins are .040” styrene and the frames are .060”. Cabooses such as this will also incorporate a piece of sheet brass within the frame for strength. Those with a full length cabin do not require the brass."
However, when I looked at your production photos, I was never able to see the frame sheet brass. Do you sandwich the sheet brass between layers of styrene? And, as a follow-up, do you somehow solder the brake rigging to this sheet brass piece or do you just glue it to holes in the styrene?
Thanks for any response.
Chuck
Beautiful work, as usual!
I wish Lionel would make one of these!! I am a Penn Central fan and Lionel has made some great locomotives as of late and some great cabooses. Lionel is producing a Penn Central switcher in the latest catalog and this transfer caboose would go great with it.
So when can I get in on the next batch of Conrail transfer Caboose.
