Penn Central passenger cars?

Yep, the Penn Central did have some of its passenger fleet lettered for PC before Amtrak took over. MTH also just announced 70' Premier Penn Central cars.

 

MTH also has a 60ft set scheduled for May.

I remember pulling into Trenton and observed a set of MP-54 cars in green with PC on them.

Come to think of it when I lived near Philly I used to see the MP-54 cars on the suburban lines. They were pretty beat up. 

 

Thanks nick for the tip on the MTH passenger cars. 

The MP-54s lasted into the early 80s, most were painted Penn Central Jade Green and some got the SEPTA paint scheme near the end of there career.

I like the patched look and the NYC grey as well as the jade. Last yearse Kato n scale set was a fav look of mine for PC.

Agreed. I have the Kato set. I've acquired a PC RPO and baggage car and I'm planning to add some equipment in full PRR livery to complete the look of an early Penn Central intercity consist.
