Taking a break from cabooses to finish up a Pacific Fruit Express "Giant" in Urethane. These were so named because they were 47' cars as opposed to the standard 40' cars, as well as being slightly wider. This is a Rails Unlimited body that we purchased off of Ebay, I don't believe they are available anymore. Their downfall came when loads began to be shipped on standard pallets, as opposed to being loaded by hand. They were later converted to R-70-1 class cars, with steel ends and roofs for frozen food service. I thought it would fit in nicely on a '40s era layout placed in Central California as these cars were also used for shipping wine barrels, and I really like the Bohn patent ventilators in place of the standard ice bunker hatches. - Chris
