Hi Guys,

I have enclosed about a dozen photos of the new offering from Sunset.  A truly fantastic model!  Check out the playing cards 4 separate suits on the sand dome.  And check out the brass plaque on the tender sides listing the companies that participated in supplying the many parts and such for this outstanding locomotive.

A truly trend setting engine; first to be fully equipped with roller bearings on all axles.

Steve

This is truly fine graphic modeling!

Not really. The "Four Aces" name is derived from the road number 1111, i.e. the "Four Aces" in a deck of cards.

about 10 years ago i did a commisioned repaint of a Bob Love scratchbuilt 4 Aces FOR Timken.  had to make all my own artwork and printed it on my Alps printer.  looking for a photo to post.  i worked closely with the Timken historian who also worked on the original 4Aces when it was in operation at the time.  The locomotive was originally commisioned by the late Tony Ambrose. in O scale.  Sunsets is a nice looking engine but i dont think all the suppliers are listed on the plaque.
