So I tried the Playable whistle using wifi on two later production PS3 steam engines using both my iPad and iPhone. It works great except there is a strange quirk in a few spots on both sides of a flip up section. The whistle inexplicably locks in either full on or off mode. The best way to unlock it is to increment the speed up or down by at least one step by hitting the plus or minus key. I do get all tens of signal strength in that area and have never had a problem there. I guess that is acceptable. Just got to remember it and move on.
