LIONMASTER LEGACY STEAM LOCOMOTIVE WITH VISION WHISTLE STEAM

The LionMaster series brings out the giants of steam to more modest size O Gauge layouts.

Here’s your chance to get the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive fully equipped with LEGACY, and at a scaleddown size that can negotiate even O-31 curves. LionMaster engines maintain a correct sense of proportion and include many separately applied details, such as accurate builder’s plates.

The Big Boy LionMaster steam locomotive is fully equipped with the best of LEGACY Command Control, LEGACY RailSounds, and Odyssey II Speed Control. And for the first time ever, they also feature the high realism of Vision Whistle Steam, a new steam effect that mimics blasts of steam that emanate from a real locomotive whistles when they’re blown. The Vision Whistle Steam effect is synchronized to the RailSounds sound system.

I Just purchased this same model and am also having no output from the vision whistle.

Output from the main stacks are fine. All smoke is produced from the same shared unit.

Plenty of fluid added.

All switches set to "on"

Blew air down the main stack and the whistle opening.

No dice.

Any further suggestions before I contact Lionel.

Thanks

Mike

Just thought I'd post the fix for this issue (at least my case). Called Lionel and the tech said that due to the long run of plumbing for the whistle, the first use requires priming by holding down the whistle lever, at full, for about 15 sec. I had held it down earlier but not for this length of time as I was concerned I might burn out the motor.

He assured me that it was perfectly fine.

I tried it and it worked like a charm.
