Post Reply when not logged in...

Marty, I just did what you described so I could test this. I logged OUT, then clicked the "Post Reply" button on your post. It took me to the login screen. I logged in and was then presented with the reply box where I am typing this reply.  That's what it is supposed to do. I don't know why it is not doing that for you.

Clear your cache and forum cookies and try it again. See if that changes anything.

I just tried it again and same results.  Logged out, pushed reply, signed in.  Took me to the top of the page.  I then had to push the reply button again.

I wasn't sure if it was just me.  But it's happening on 2 PCs running Firefox.

No biggie but I just thought it odd.

Nope.  Didn't help clearing the cache and cookies.  Pushed Reply. Log in screen. Had to hit the reply button again after I logged in to get the box.

Like I said no big deal.  Maybe I got something weird checked somewhere.

I just tried it also, and after logging in, it then took me to the top of this thread, but did NOT open the "post reply" window. Never noticed that before.

I have the same function as you do; I noticed this several months ago but was just living with it.  Thanks for bringing it up.  Maybe because Rich is an employee, he has a different setup.

Nope...my setup is no different than yours when I'm logged out.

I also have another non-admin account which I use for testing things like this. I tried it with that account and got the same result.

I also noticed this a while back presuming it was a change.  Just tried again after clearing cookies etc. no change, same thing taking me to top of thread.

Sounds like a browser issue, have you tried doing the reply on another browser? IE, or Chrome?

Always works OK for me.
