Postwar 6572 refrigerator car

The trucks are very easy to change. There is no documentation I am aware of that backs this as a recognized factory variation, and the timelines between the truck style and the rolling stock are disparate enough that there is no reasonable chance of overlap. This is almost certainly a home-brew modification.

This isn't simply a metal vs plastic truck conversation. The 6572 was known to come with metal 2400 passenger series trucks, bar end metal trucks with magnetic tabbed plates, and AAR plastic ones with thumbtacks.

Open it up, take it apart I bet you will see evidence that someone was in there before you. 

I have removed the bottom frame and can find no marks on the frame other than those that were made when the car was made, as most people do not have the correct tool to open the horse shoe clips, it leaves a mark where someone used a screwdriver to open the clip, I see none of those marks, can someone tell me when staple end trucks ended and bar end trucks began.

Last night in talking to a fellow postwar collector, he pointed me to a forum post on Madison Hardware green Madison cars from a discussion in 2015, in reading all the post's there is mention of MH have a special run of 6572 cars, could the car I have be one that was put together at MH from parts on hand, I do not have the original box so I can only speculate on this.

There were multiple versions of the car, die fast, plastic and passenger trucks. All directly from Lionel.
