We have this accessory and although the attendant comes out of the building with no problem he gets hung up on the return. A gentle push gets him on his way. What should we be looking for ? Has anyone had this issue ? thanks

Get at the mechanism underneath and move it by hand, noticing any spots where it may be binding. Make sure no parts are bent. The coil plunger and mechanism may need to be cleaned with Naphtha to insure free operation.

Following up on Larry's recommendation, I found that the binding was happening whenever the man entered one of the two pivot locations along the track. Looking closely I noticed that the vertical pin on which the man rides was canted out of vertical every time he bound up. If you examine the driveline orientation it should run horizontally and on the same plane from spring through to the slug inside the coil. I adjusted the height of the line as it wraps the flywheel post. This assures that the yellow sweep arm rotates smoothly on one horizontal plane, thereby avoiding putting the stem under the man from canting out of vertical. I then lubricated the outside of the slug and the location where the pin enters the body of the man. I then held the platform horizontally and worked the sweep arm, pivoted the man and worked the slug in and out of the coil to work the lubricating oil in. Then examine where the pin is binding in the platform track. Using a nail file make a few passes into the track at these locations. Repeat until the man moves freely. Note .. you must hold the platform horizontally while observing the passage of the pin along the track. Viola .. the reassembled device now works 95% of the time. The trick is to observe where the pin goes out of plumb and fails to rotate.
