Can a Legacy PowerMaster be assigned an ACC ID# using the Cab1-L ?

I know I can assign a TR ID# to the PM using Cab1-L (it works) but since the PM is providing accessory power I thought it would be more logical to assign the ID# to ACC instead of TR. Will the ACC assignment work or are there still bugs in the Base3 ?

No.  This probably doesn't help in your situation but as an alternate you can assign an ENG ID# to it.  This option applies to every CabX/BaseX set, goes all the way back to Cab1/Base1, and works with Lionel Track Power Controllers (TPCs) in addition to PowerMasters.

Oddly enough, it's exactly the same with Lionel Accessory Voltage Controllers (AVCs), which are TPCs that are specifically designed to control accessories and not tracks (because, although almost identical to TPCs, they have no horn/whistle or bell functions).  These also can be programmed with TR#s or ENG#s, but not ACC#s.
