When I started out in HO with DCC, I had an extra board that I would assign to a train that was hooked up to my sound system to crank up the audio. I was thinking of getting an extra PS2 or 3 board and do the same. I would be afraid that the amp's output might cause a ground loop with the mixing board or they may just not get along (too hot?). Is there a way to get the audio out before the amp?? Maybe I could choke down the output somehow??
Would there be interest in a product from MTH that could provide this to the market for other's?? Maybe it could play soundsets that are downloaded for this purpose? Just brainstorming on how to amp up the train room as it's built with some extra speakers and subwoofers. It would seem easy to build a lashup with an extra board to provide this sound hookup. Maybe this could be accomplished with the new I pad app? possibly even have the train entering different zones and their respective channels and speakers for that zone?
