Presenting my EMD SD30ACe

I know this is an older post but I thought you might like to know that back in the 70's someone actually kit-bashed an HO scale SD-30.

You never know. One of those might have been on the drawing board when the GP35/SD35 were ultimately developed. Realistically, I suspect that if a prototype went through it would probably have been only a few feet longer than a GP30.

I would call that a SD-30, not a SD-30ACe. Change the rear end to look more like a 70ACe. Add some flared radiators to the rear!
