I have one of the first Lionel ATSF E6 Atlantic steamers. This was before Legacy.
When I got it, it was conventional, command upgradable, with signal sounds.
Over the years I have slowly collected TMCC parts and first added a R2LC to this loco and it has run great. Recently I added the railsounds boards, generic steam and amp board, but I get no sound at all.
I flipped the switch from signal sounds to railsounds, nuthin.
I moved the jumper pin in the tender, nuthin.
I reset the R2LC using the AUX 4 code, still nuthin.

What else can I try to make the railsounds work in this loco?

Flash,  This is probably like the 28000 series.  I am assuming the original SS board worked fine?  Install it again and move jumpers back to the original position.  If it works, that eliminates tether and power pickup as issues.

The instructions on my 28000 series loco are pretty clear on how to do the conversion.

Where did you get the RS package from, it maybe bad, especially the Power Supply board as Bill mentioned.  G
