Hey everyone! So I just got this new VL Southern Pacific GS-6 today, but it has an issue and doesn’t run properly. There seems to be something binding in the drivers/drive wheels once every rotation. I’ve tried examining it while slowly running, but can’t see anything obvious. Is this something that I’ll have to contact Lionel about?

Last time I remember this kind of action on a steamer I found the side rods to be the issue.
Side rods could be out of sync adjustment or a loose bolt.

This seems to either be a binding issue or a issue with the flywheel sensor. Check all the side rods and wheels over to see if there is anything that could be causing binding or friction.
