Hello everyone first post here,
I have a question with MTH proto 2. I have been changing my loco's battery with the green battery. Do most people who have these loco's go with the dry battery or do they stick with the green 9 volt battery?

Dry battery? Stick with the NiMh 7-cell batteries, I personally use the EBL 9V Rechargeable Batteries NiMH Everyday 280mAh for the 5V PS/2 boards.
Thanks for responding. For the price how long is that battery good for. I had to take my layout down to make room in the basement so I'm afraid some of my loco's may be sitting for years.
It's as good as any other decent NiMh battery, should be good for 5 years at least.
WOW, That's a lot cheaper than the MTH green batteries I have been buying at 15.99 each. Just purchased the EBLs on Amazon. Thanks
