Bought a MTH sd70Ace on the bay with issue's, it jumps track and throws breaker. After taking it apart the front motor was broke and not moving, removed it and runs great however, the sound is very low. Turned up the volume and on the hand remote (DSC) all the volume setting show 100% however you can barley hear the sound. Any suggestions.

hi more then likely from the train derailing and shorting out it has blown the sound IC, you will have too have an mth tech repair you board if it is a ps2 3 volt board!
Try a Feature Reset using the DCS Remote.
Did you buy it knowing it was broke. Does it have an item number? Sounds like it was junk before you got it. What are you using for a transformer? Speaker maybe, audio amp probably.
I like a "Fixer-upper" every once in a while, but this is one is leaning more towards a parts engine.
Hopefully a speaker will get you going, but I'm willing to bet Marty is right on this one.
Yes I knew there where issue's and actually bought it to make it a dummy however, with an easy fix I'm going to make it a running engine. So this morning on a test track sounds were loud, put it on the DCS track and volume was low.
