Great as I have two boards, for a F3 project. One board for one A unit, the other for the A an B unit and I would like smoke in the B unit.
John,
3V PS/2 and the PS/3 boards can handle two smoke units.
Actually, all PS2 and PS3 boards can drive two smoke units each.
In a premier A-B-A set, is the slave board in the rear A unit running that units smoke or does the lead unit run it via the tether? If it is the slave board, where on the lead board would I hook up another smoke unit that I could install in the non-smoking B unit?

Well, yes and no. You have to mod the 5V PS/2 board to support two smoke units, so unless the person wants to deal with surface mount parts and modifying the boards, that statement is false. Perhaps you may have read this in the ASC service manual?
I don't count that as supporting two smoke units as it won't out of the box.
John,
The 5-volt 2500HP diesel supports 2 smoke units, right out of the box. However, if that's a "1-off", then I stand corrected.
Look at the board Barry, the factory likely made the mod to the board. I doubt MTH would have made an issue of it in the ASC manual if they already supported two smoke units without issue.
John.

Unfortunately, I must decline for two reasons:
I didn't really think you'd open it up.
They mad a change in production. So you inspect the fet if you need to use board in 2 smoke unit engine. G
