i have a turbine steam engine railking and the grease screw at bottom will touch center rail on switches and spark has any one else come across this and what did you do. And yes I tightened it up. I did put electrical tape over it and it works with that .

I'd probably remove the screw and find a low-profile pan head screw with the same thread to replace it.

Perhaps, I haven't heard of this particular issue.
I read on this thread where he had installed a nylon screw instead of a metal one to rectify a similar situation.....
Great idea, no issues of shorting there.
Yup awesome idea just have to find plastic screw and right size any idea where to look for these.
any true value dealer like shallick mills has all hinds of assorted parts,screws,any hardware you might need,plastic metal,just about any kind you might need. I'm in NJ and there is a Shalllic Mills there if you can find one let me know the length and the thread size metric or SAE and I'll pick it up for you,those parts would be very cheap!
