Wow, Erik, I was just about to take a sip of coffee when that SP crew ran right up to the clearance point against El Capitan, which was passing at that moment.  I had to pour a shot into my coffee after that.

Another excellent video clip.  Please keep creating them.

Thanks Tom, I will create as much as possible

Santa Fe Trail Transportation Co. (the trucking subsidiary) had a lot of those eastern style truck tractors out in California when I was young.  In Illinois or Kansas, they probably looked like a lot of the other trucks, but out west, where Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Freightliner dominated, those Macks and International bullnoses were  less common.  Santa Fe ran a lot of GMC conventional and "Cannonballs" of all vintages.  Unlike a lot of other fleet companies, SFTT didn't really standardize on a particular make of either tractors or trailers.  Although GMC and International seemed to be favorites, SFTT seemed to buy from every truck manufacturer.  I never saw a SFTT Kenworth or Autocar, but they had at least a few from every other big truck manufacturer I can think of.

Are there any O scale models of those Santa Fe trucks from the 1950's? I'd kinda like one for my layout.

A couple of classic War Bonnets...

Stoneboro Branch, thanks for posting the photos of ATSF passenger diesels.  The photos were all new to me, and I always enjoy floating back to that era.  And then reality rears its head -- I'm older than any of those diesels, but I am still fit for service.

Tom-

Yeah; those are great shots from a private collection I'm helping a gentleman downsize by selling on the big auction website. The first two are 35mm; the last three are large 6cm x 6cm transparencies, which can be stunning when projected or even skillfully scanned. (I'm not there yet, but getting better...)  Until I got ahold of these slides, I wasn't a Santa Fe fan; just another diehard PRR guy, but now, alas, I've been bitten by the War Bonnet bug and forced to expand my horizons a bit!
