What I believe is an easy question..... Are the Lionel Lamp leads interchangeable except for the length of the wire?
I see Oil Derrick Part 455-25 (10"), Searchlight Car Part 3520-39 (4"), Engine Part 675-17 all look the same. If they're not interchangeable, providing the wire length is acceptable, where can I get some?

They are all the same contact with a convenient wire. If you want to solder your own, the contact itself (no wire) is 61-22. All the major parts dealers should have it.
N.B. Do not forget the spring R91 if you are repairing a bayonet bulb socket. Screw bases usually use a second fibre insulating washer 61-13.
