Good afternoon all I have recently bought an Atlas RS1 with QSI quantum sound fitted the problem is at starting speed it seems to jerk until it gets going a bit and as I want to use on my switching layout, as it is its pretty unusable has anyone got any ideas on setting CVs etc or is this the best I can expect with QSI Decoder and this Loco set up ! merv from a sunny S Wales coast

I installed QSI Quantums-U's in my AtlasO FM Erie-builts. Before installing the Quantums I wired the China drive motors in series. Others have commented on the OGR and AtlasO Forums that wiring the motors in series is a key step in improving slow speed performance with twin motor AtlasO diesels. I didn't change any of the default settings on the Quantum-U as they ran great right from the get go. Did your QSI Quantum come factory installed or was it one you added? Either way I'd start by wiring the motors in series - its very easy to do.

Thanks Ed it came factory fitted so I am assuming that both motors are wired into the decoder(I hope)...
