Bought as Iron horse class a climax loco with vertical boiler.
But when I opened the box it's looks like something else.
Can you please tell me what did I buy?

There were many variations. Looks like a class A. Here are photos of a HOn3 brass and T-Boiler type.

Out of curiosity, I hit up the Wikipedia entry for 'Climax locomotive' and came across this paragraph:
Class A
These featured a steam engine unit with two vertical cylinders mounted in the center of the locomotive. Class A Climaxes had a frame similar to a flatcar with wooden boxcar-like bodywork built up above it to protect the crew and fuel from the elements—this could be more or less covering between locomotive to locomotive. The front half of the locomotive, in front of the engine unit, contained the boiler. In smaller examples this may have been a vertical boiler, while in larger ones a tee boiler was employed. Class A Climaxes were small locomotives, generally under seventeen tons. Class A Climaxes, unlike Heisler and Shay locomotives, had two-speed gearboxes.
The description seems to match the model you acquired. Must be the earliest form of the Climax.

It is a climax for sure. but it looks like it has a horizontal boiler to me, not a vertical one.
I think someone confused the water tank with the boiler.
It definitely matches the drawings for a Class A climax that I found on Line. Do some searches. The box might be mislabeled about the vertical boiler in my opinion, or it is in the wrong box and there is another one at the estate sale that has a vertical boiler but is in the wrong box also.

The boxes have been switched PSC vertical boiler Climax was catalog #15130 I believe you have a PSC horizontal boiler Climax catalog #15187.

Plyux, yes the model was imported by Iron Horse models. Models from estate sales unfortunately are not always paired with the correct boxes. As time passes models and boxes become separated leaving questions about the accurate description of models being sold by people not knowledge about the hobby. Sadly this is occurring more and more frequently.

Where I can find a catalog with the number 15187?
Plyux, Brasstrains.com has a classic brass guide that you may find helpful. They have photos of both the vertical and horizontal boiler class A Climaxes from Iron Horse Models. You will have to search the pull down menu and specify scale, steam, logging Climax, Iron Horse Models importer. Iron Horse Models did not produce a catalog but issued periodic sheets listing models being produce and imported. They were active in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
